I first came to Casa Grande as a substitute teacher in 1990, and joined the staff as a full-time teacher in 1991. I hold teaching credentials in English, Mathematics and Social Science, and have taught courses in all of those subjects, as well as Human Interaction. I have enjoyed teaching in different departments; I feel it gives me a better sense for what my students go through, in the course of their busy days!
My own education includes three years at St. Vincent High School, one year at the University of California in Santa Cruz and two years at UC Berkeley, a Bachelors of Science Degree in History Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from Sonoma State University. I also hold an Administrative Services Authorization and a Cross-Cultural Language Acquisition and Development Credential. I have always been interested in learning about other people and other cultures, and have traveled through 47 states and 35 different countries. I try to use all of my different experiences to bring my teaching to life whenever I can.
