About Me
I attended elementary, junior high and high school here in Petaluma. I was a student of La Tercera Elementary School, Kenilworth Junior High School, and graduated from Casa Grande High School in 1990. I then attended Santa Rosa Junior College for three years majoring in music and received an AA degree. After SRJC, I tranferred to Cal State Hayward (now Cal State East Bay) and completed my Bachelor's degree in Music Performance on trombone. Upon graduating, I entered Cal State Hayward's teacher credential program and spent one year earning my teaching credential. I student taught at Westmoor High School in Daly City and at Pleasanton Middle School in Pleasanton.
My first job was as the band director for all five schools in the Old Adsobe School District. I spent seven years at this position. I then taught in the 2nd grade classroom for one year at La Tercerta Elementary School and simultaneously taught the District's after-school band program.
In 2005, I was hired here at Casa Grande High School to teach music and English.
I am currently have completed 2/3 of a Master's Degree Program at the American Band College at Southern Oregon University. I should have my Master's Degree in Music (Conducting) at the end of the summer of 2009.
