I received my S.B. degree in Cognitive Science from M.I.T. in 1986. In 1988 I received my teaching credential in mathematics and my M.A. in Education from Stanford. I earned National Board Certification in mathematics in 2002. This is my 21st year teaching and my 16th at Casa Grande. I live in Petaluma with my wife Stephanie who represents several artists. Our daughter is in the 6th grade at Grant school, and our son is a freshman here at Casa. I enjoy team sports such as ultimate frisbee and softball as well as word, puzzle and card games. Having grown up in Massachusetts, I am a fan of Boston teams which means lots of celebrating lately.
