STUDENT NEWS -

• Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher may join the National Honor Society. Those who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and who are involved in a school club, sports, band, or other such activity are qualified to join the Casa Grande Honor Society. Those who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher for their last semester (Spring 2008) may be qualified to join the California Scholarship Federation. A copy the student's grade report or transcript must accompany the application. Unofficial transcripts are available from Ms. DeChesere in her classroom, M-9. Please do not go to Counseling for a transcript. Applications for these organizations may be picked up from Ms. DeChesere in room M-9. Dues for EACH club are $3.00 per semester. The final day to submit an application is Tuesday, September 30, 2008. NO late applications will be accepted. (Freshmen are not eligible to join these honor organizations until after the first semester, January 2009.)
• Students who are members or will become members of the National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation, and/or the Casa Grande Honor Society are asked to meet during tutorial in room M-9 on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. We will discuss upcoming activities and leadership of the clubs.
• Do you have an interesting job? Yearbook wants to know where you work! Share your info with us by e-mailing www.casayearbook@yahoo.com or come to room E-14. We'll have a special column for those who work at Starbucks. It's important for us to know all of you who work there! 
• Hey Casa! Jesus Club is back! We have new room, I-2. Come out at lunch for Question and Answer. Bring questions and friends; we'll bring the pizza! Everyone is welcome!
• Attention all boys basketball players:  There will be a mandatory meeting today, Friday, September 5 during tutorial in Walker Hall.
